Four Echoes is a special project: an important landmark in my hometown of Seekonk, MA. I maintain an ongoing creative partnership with the founders and have worked on additional projects including print marketing and property signage. I designed the website for Four Echoes at Grist Mill Pond, which is both a vintage shoppe and an outdoor event venue on Fall River Avenue.
The goal
Four Echoes is several things at once. It is a nonprofit vintage marketplace, founded in 2018, with more than 100 vendors. It is also a place to book a wedding or private event beside Grist Mill Pond, and a community organization that takes donations and welcomes volunteers. The site had to explain all of that plainly and send each visitor to the right page.
What I built
The home page introduces the shoppe and its mission, then gives each audience its own section and button: Vendor Application, Book an Event, Jobs and Volunteering, and Donate Goods. Shoppe hours, the address and the phone number sit in the footer of every page, along with a mailing list signup.
The Weddings and Events page presents the grounds as a venue: the gazebo overlooking the pond, the event lawn, the footbridge and the string lights, with a photo gallery of the property. It also points to what is nearby, including the Old Grist Mill Tavern, the coffee and ice cream shop and an Airbnb. The Become a Vendor page explains how the group shop works, from open shelves and locked showcases to full booths in more than 12,000 square feet of retail space, and it leads into an online application.
Beyond the website
My work with Four Echoes goes past the screen. I have also produced print marketing and signage for the property, so the materials a visitor sees in person match what they see online.
An About page shares the mission behind the shoppe, which supports outreach programs for people in need, along with videos about Four Echoes.
