Christmas Decor by Outdoor Lighting Designs installs Christmas lighting for homes, businesses and towns from its base in Scarborough, Maine. The company is a long-time client. In 2026 it narrowed its business to Christmas lighting only, and I rebuilt the website in Wix Studio to match: a new design, a new page structure and content rewritten from the first line.
The goal
The old site covered several kinds of outdoor lighting. The new one had to say one thing clearly: this company designs your Christmas display, installs it, keeps it working all season, takes it down and stores it. Every page needed to lead to the same two actions, a quote request or a phone call.
What I built
The homepage opens with that full-service promise beside a photo of a lit home, then walks through the five steps: design, install, maintain, takedown and storage. Sections for homes, businesses and towns follow, then a gallery of recent displays, the service area, common questions and a closing call to action.
Each audience has its own page: residential Christmas lights, commercial Christmas lighting, municipal holiday lighting, and wreaths, garland and bows. Each one explains what gets decorated, shows recent work and answers the questions that customer asks most.
The quote page uses one form for every kind of project. It asks for the property address and type, what the customer has in mind, and up to three photos of the property, so the company has what it needs to start a design.
Built for search
A service area page lists the towns the company covers, grouped by state, from Brunswick, Maine south to the Massachusetts line. Each town links to its own page, around 70 in all across Southern Maine, the New Hampshire Seacoast and two Massachusetts border towns. The town pages are generated from the Wix CMS, so adding a town means adding a row.
FAQ sections on the service pages and a dedicated FAQ page answer questions in plain language that search engines and AI answer tools can read. Pages that were renamed or retired in the rebuild redirect to their replacements, so existing links and search visibility carry over.
